FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

You only need to bring yourself with clean dry hair and a clean moisturized face. We will do your hair and makeup at the studio. If you have foundation that matches your skin tone, it would be great to bring that too. Of course, if you already have a hair and makeup artist you love, you are free to use their services instead. We will discuss what outfits to bring at your preconsultation - I do have a growing studio wardrobe that you are welcome to utilize as well!

My studio is located at 723 W Main St in beautiful downtown Madison, Indiana. When you come for your shoot, you will have private access to the entire studio and a garden for shooting outdoors when the weather is fine.

Madison is conveniently located along the Ohio River, about an hour from Louisville or Cincinnati, and about 90 minutes from Indianapolis.  It's a great place to spend a few days exploring too - our downtown historic district is one of the best-kept in the country, and there is a beautiful state park in our backyard. Come have a photo shoot in my studio and stay for a couple nights in one of our fabulous hotels or Air BnBs!  

The session fee of $299 includes a preconsultation (either via zoom or in-studio) where we will develop a customized plan for your shoot, including styling, hair, makeup, and wardrobe choices. It also includes complimentary hair and makeup on the day of the shoot, 2-3 hours of shooting time in the studio with multiple outfit changes, and a reveal session about two weeks after your shoot. At the reveal, you will have the opportunity to pick your favorite images and choose a package to order. Packages are priced separately and start at $900. You are never obligated to buy - you simply pick the images you love, and choose a package that fits your desires.

Complimentary corresponding digitals are included for each image purchased in print. 

The first step is to book a consultation with me by filling out the contact form. At your consultation, we will discuss wardrobe and styling, as well as your dreams and goals for the shoot. I will collect payment for the session fee and get you booked! 

On the day of your studio session, you will come in for hair and makeup, then we will shoot for 2-3 hours with several outfit changes. My goal is to make this fun and easy for my clients - even if they typically don't enjoy having their picture taken! We have refreshments and can take breaks as needed, we will laugh together, and most of all, I'll listen to your unique story and help you bring it to life in pictures. Your story deserves to be told. Your true beauty deserves to be seen in pictures.

About two weeks after your shoot, we will have an in-person reveal session back at my studio.  During this exciting session, you'll be able to see your finished pictures for the first time, narrow them down to your very favorites, and choose which package and a la carte options you would like to purchase.  I offer matted prints, albums, custom archival quality wall art, and more. This is not a pressure sales situation - you only purchase what you absolutely love. A complimentary corresponding digital file is delivered with each picture purchased in print. The digital will be delivered within two days after payment for package is received.

Approximately 4 weeks after your reveal session, your print order will be ready for delivery! You can pick it up at the studio if you're local, or I will arrange for shipping to your home if you traveled for your photo shoot.
